I don't get it...What exactly does JGoods do?
JGoods takes basic kicks and customizes them with designs that you are not going to see anywhere else. Every shoe is personally hand-painted by JGoods.
Can you customize any shoe?
Yes, as long as it is made of leather.
Do you paint midsoles?
No, as far as we know, there is no paint that will successfully adhere correctly to a rubber midsole enough to wear.
Do I send you the base kicks or do you buy them for me?
We can do it either way. JGoods has connections that usually are able to give us the kicks you need.
How much am I going to have to spend?
Most shoes are going to be in the $600 to $1000 range if we provide the base shoes for you. The price may be higher, or may be lower depending on the design. A 50% down payment will be required to secure the shoe and the rest will be paid when the shoes are done.
How do I know what my shoes will look like? Can I tell you what I want?
When you make your first payment, you will then be in direct personal contact with JGoods. He will work with you and send previews of what your shoes will look like. You tell him what you want until you are happy with the preview. Then, the customizing process begins. There has been zero unsatisfied customers in over five years.
What kinds of payments do you accept?
We accept PayPal, credit cards through PayPal, and money orders at this time.
How long will I have to wait for a pair of shoes?
Most shoes are going to take around 2-3 weeks to complete.
How do I know you guys are legit?
We have been around for over 5 years. JGoods has many references and is well known around the world for his custom shoe designs. You can e-mail us with any questions by Emailing the JGoods Team.
Does your paint crack, fade or rub off?
NO.
Our paint jobs do not crack. The paint used is specially mixed by us, formulated for leather and has been developed and tested thoroughly for problems. The paint will not peel, chip, crack or rub off. It is also water and fade proof. We also take the finish off of the factory leather before it is painted to make sure that the paint stays. This is a very time consuming process that will make your kicks last a long time. As you can see in the pictures, the paint is tough. The shoes below were worn constantly for over 6 months. Feel free to wear our shoes wherever you go, but don't be careless.
I saw a pair of your shoes on eBay for under $100. Why is this?
Those shoes are manufactured FAKES of JGoods designed shoes. They are not authentic Nikes and the design was ripped off from us. Basically, they are a really cheap pair of shoes that rip off everything from some other company (or person). The quality of these shoes is absolutely terrible. Below is an example of a fake JGoods shoe (You can see the real "Stray Killa" AF1's in the "Custom Shoes" section).
